Disclosure & general advice

How the site is paid for, and what our information is — and is not.

Who operates Intl Chat

Intl Chat is operated by UNILINK, which has entities in Australia, China and the UK. When you ask to talk to an advisor, your question may be passed to a UNILINK advisor or to a licensed partner in the relevant country so they can contact you.

Partner links

Some links — for example to compare student or visitor health insurance (OSHC, OVHC), pay tuition through Flywire, buy travel insurance or an eSIM — are partner links. If you buy through them we may receive a commission. You do not pay more because of it. Partner links are marked, open in a new tab and carry rel="sponsored".

Partners do not review or approve our answers, and a partnership does not decide whether a product is mentioned.

General advice warning (insurance and money)

Information about insurance, money transfers and payments on Intl Chat is general information only. It does not take into account your objectives, financial situation or needs. Before acting on it, consider whether it is appropriate for you, read the product disclosure statement (PDS) and target market determination (TMD) for any insurance product, and check that a policy meets the health insurance condition on your visa. Intl Chat does not issue, arrange or recommend specific insurance policies.

Migration, tax and legal questions

Answers explain what published rules say. They are not migration advice, tax advice or legal advice for your circumstances. For an Australian visa matter, only a registered migration agent or an Australian legal practitioner can give you immigration assistance; other countries have their own licensing rules.

AI assistance

The on-site assistant is an AI system. It can make mistakes; check important points against the official source it links, or ask to talk to a person.
